Responsible for the safety and well-being of the employees assigned to their crew. Responsible for the quality and cost of the maintenance work activities assigned to their crew. Will provide continuous oversight of the work execution process and communicate any deviation to work and schedule based upon scope and plan. Responsible for ensuring compliance to all established policies, procedures, and practices of both Brown and Root and DuPont.
This position could require off-hours and overtime support as needed.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Walk all upcoming tasks to identify full scope of work, material/tool/equipment requirement, hazard identification and mitigation requirements.
Provide constructive feedback on work plans and schedules.
Participate in planning activities when requested.
Ensure all materials, tools and equipment is available.
Exhibits and ensures a professional and respectful work environment for all employees.
B. Work Execution
Provide direction and support to all assigned B&R maintenance personnel.
Act as the information "hub" for your assigned work, communicating on a regular basis with maintenance personnel, planning, and B&R Site Manager.
Conduct daily walk-throughs to review work progress and compliance to all applicable requirements i.e. PPE, JSA's (Job Safety Analysis), permitting, special practices, etc.
Ensure all tools and equipment are cleaned and returned when task completed and all extra materials are consolidated and stored properly.
e. Ensure the weekly schedule is executed as planned and provide feedback if schedule
adjustments (i.e. due to scope changes, rework, design change, etc.) are required.
Ensure all jobs are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Health, Safety & Environmental
Report all injuries and incidents immediately.
Lead the B&R Weekly Safety meeting, review communication information with crew and ensure all crew members sign off on training.
Perform and submit weekly Safety audits to B&R HSE group.
c. Support Safety Energy initiatives through personal and crew activities of: a) audits of JSA's, b) Performing “Stop Work” Observations, c) Documenting all “Stop Work” actions, audits, etc...
d. Ensure that each morning line-up meeting starts with a Safety Moment and end with stretching exercises.
Evaluate every employee's capabilities and help set career paths.
Assure that all employees under your direct and indirect supervision are meeting all expectations of B&R and DuPont Policies / Procedures.
Provide feedback to all employees under your direct and indirect supervision as to areas of strengths and areas in need of improvement. Coach employees to enhance job performance and document non-compliance actions through the employee evaluation and conference reporting process.
Conduct employee evaluations per site requirements.
Journeymen Certification & Craft training: Maintain a vigilant effort with all crew members regarding certification and development. Status of crew member's participation will be documented in the employee's evaluation.
Complete daily progress report.
Complete daily timesheets (unless completed by GF).
Ensure all documentation is completed, i.e. daily time sheets.
Notify crew of upcoming training events and ensure crew members arrive at training location on time.
Assist the Site Manager with input on administrative issues and disciplinary action administered to personnel to assure compliance and consistency.
Understand the site metrics and the importance of Schedule Compliance and assure crew members do the same. Complete maintenance backlog work based on Safety, and priorities.

Ensures team members develop synergy on each task to document all hazards on the JSA and verbally reviews all hazards and how to mitigate prior to starting work.
Completes all permits per permit protocols and submits to operations prior to end of each shift.

Make fair and consistent decisions ensuring compliance to policies and procedures vital to the consistency of B&R and our client.
Materials are verified for the next day's work.
Review all job packages and/or work location prior to assigning employees.

Conduct housekeeping tour on a continuous basis, in all areas.
Takes personal ownership of assigned areas i.e. shops, employee's work areas, lunchrooms, break areas, lay-down areas, etc...

Focuses on improving peer-to-peer and supervisor-to-peer relationships.
Monitors daily starts, break times, lunch and quit times.

Ensures all tools, materials, and equipment are utilized effectively and secured when not in use.
Effectively manages personal time, you cannot lead from the office.
Recognize outstanding performance and ensure the B&R and client organization are informed of achievements.
Ensures the B&R 2-Up Signature procedure is understood and followed.
Set high expectations and provide the model that will inspire and motivate others.
The following will be measured and this position held accountable for:
Strong understanding of DuPont sites plant procedures, DuPont and B&R Health, Safety and Environmental procedures; OSHA Standards;
(Recommended) High School Diploma or equivalent.
OSHA 10 Hour, but, not required.
OSHA Standards, Environmental Controls, Planning and Scheduling,
Estimating, Quality Assurance.
Communication, Organizational, Leadership, Teambuilding, Interpersonal Relationships, Conflict Management, Client Relations, Labor Relations, Computers and Computer Software (includes SAP, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook).
Supervisory or Lead person maintenance experience, with a minimum of five (5) years at the mechanical maintenance level.
