Sr. Mechanic - Recovery
Recovery/Senior Mechanics will be required to recover commercial and military assets. Recoveries will range from mechanical break downs, rollover accidents to hostile action. Recovery personnel will be required to go off camp to recover assets along the MSR's and ASR's and from other locations designated by the tasking authority.
Must be knowledgeable in military recovery operations and the operation of required recovery equipment (Commercial Heavy Duty Wreckers and / or Military HEMMT). Must be able to think and act quickly to given situations, making sound judgment keeping safety for themselves, other recovery personnel, military escorts and equipment the utmost thought at all time. Perform daily preventive maintenance practices, perform inspections of same equipment as required by company or government and insure all equipment is in safe working order. Will require some skills/knowledge of computers to complete daily paper work and reports, Position requires specialized training in the recovery industry and recovery equipment repair or equivalent; heavy equipment operator or heavy haul experience also considered. Must have Class A CDL with 3
years military vehicle recovery/maintenance experience. Will require physical labor; crawling, climbing, lifting heavy items while wearing approximately 50lbs of Personal Protective Equipment.
Rescuing tracked and wheeled vehicles this will include estimating the physical pull required to recover ditched, bogged or overturned vehicles, and use block and tackle layouts, heavy duty recovery equipment to include rotators to bring about an efficient safe recovery. Recovery mechanics are skilled in the loading and unloading of disabled equipment onto trailers and semi-trailers.
Responsible for the hands on element of light and heavy vehicle recovery organization, coordinate and work towing/recovery services, and operate/maintain assigned recovery vehicle (wrecker or other. Maintains and repairs of a variety of complex military equipment and vehicles (HMMWV, MTAV, PLS, LVSR, MRAP, MHE, etc….).

Must have extensive understanding and experience of diesel engine operation, maintenance, proper tool selection, diagnostic troubleshooting, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
