Senior Logistics Coordinator – MCT Air Operations
The Senior Logistics Coordinator - Airfield Operations coordinates operations and maintenance support for the Airfield Manager to ensure the airfield is maintained in accordance with the performance work statement and DoD regulations. The Senior Logistics Coordinator must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. Experience in this position is normally gained through DoD military experience as an Army Flight Operations Specialist MOS 15P or an Air Force Airfield Management Operations Coordinator MOS 1C7X1 or civilian GS 2150/2152/2154 career field. The Senior Logistics Coordinator issues instructions to the Labor Force and supervises them while they are performing the following specific tasks.
Conduct airfield and foreign object damage (FOD) checks.
Coordinate airfield sweeping and FOD removal during construction projects and periodically clean FOD receptacles.
Conduct airfield lighting cleaning and inspections.
Perform general construction and minor airfield pavement repairs.
Report daily facility status and coordinate maintenance responses for equipment outages.
Remove foliage and vegetation as needed.
Maintain airfield signs and markings.
Clean aircraft tie-down points and other areas as required.
Paint and maintain runways, taxiways and ramps as directed.
Escort workers and maintain radio contact with the air traffic control tower.
Provide the initial and on-going required training of personnel assigned.
Must have or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
