Quality Professional – Food Service

Seeking a quality professional with expertise in

Food Service Management

whose technical acumen and knowledge of quality systems will support the mission of the LCIV Quality Program. Candidate will optimize project execution by overseeing Food Service Management and Class I distribution operations and ensuring those operations meet the established standards of reliability, usability and performance.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of the following Food Service Management functions:

Monitoring Food Service and Class I Operations procedures and processes

Reviewing Army Food Management Information System for accountability and account status

Monitoring preventive maintenance and repairs on all food service equipment, facilities and storage units

Review bottled water test samples for frequency and compliance levels

Reviewing shipping, receiving and distribution of subsistence

Additional responsibilities:

Employing quality oversight techniques, quality training, statistical methods, joint assessments and other quality tools to improve the customer journey

Ensuring that SOW and procedural requirements are met by creating audit and inspection reports and recommending preventive and corrective actions to management

Ensuring that HSE standards are maintained by conducting and reviewing safety training on a regular basis

Implementing performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve the safety, reliability and accountability of the Army Food Management Information Systems (AFMIS) and equipment

Validating contractually required standards for project execution and verifying that those standards are met for every deliverable related to Food Service and Class I operations

Aligning quality management function with Food Service Management; Class I distribution and receipt to ensure that Food Service deliver a quality product to the customers

Analyzing and solving complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of Army Food Service Management best practices

Using experience and problem-solving skills to develop and improve processes

Providing guidance to less experienced team members across all levels of the project

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

years Leadership Experience

US citizenship ( CAC Card required for AFMIS)

OCONUS project experience

ISO 9001 and Lean Six Sigma familiarity and experience

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in QA and CPI

Demonstrated written communication skills in English

Ability to obtain a clearance, if needed

Preferred:

Formal Quality certification (ASQ, ISO, Six Sigma, etc.)

Prior military experience in a senior capacity as a 922A or E-7, or equivalent

Extensive Knowledge of the Army Food Service Program

Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of quality management, including corrective and preventive action programs

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)

Project management skills, including forward thinking, leadership, accountability, flexibility, focus under pressure and respect for diverse perspectives

Additional requirements:

Must be fluent in English

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
