Vector Control – Pest Controller
The qualified candidate will implement the applications of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) methods in a Military environment for the control of Insects, Rodents, Feral Animals and certain vegetation. The application for EPA Registered and DoD Approved products for the control and prevention of insects and certain vegetation will be done on an as-needed basis. Sr. Pest Controller position will require the tracking, trapping, tranquilizing and transportation of feral animals (Jackals, Foxes, Wild Dogs, Cats, etc…) Vector control specialist will be dealing with emphasis on filth flies, rodents, and ants. Mosquito and sand fly infestations pose problems at many sites. Knowledge of snake, scorpion, bird, and weed control is a plus. Position requires some heavy lifting and some night work. Monitoring good sanitation practices through inspection is also a daily tasking .
Minimum 2 years licensed pest control experience required
Applicant must have valid Driver’s License and a DoD Certification with Categories 6, 7 and 8; or a valid states Certified Applicators License with the DoD equivalent.
Computer skills include a good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be fluent in English
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
