Position Title:

Project Leader

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

The Project Leader will be working with the sites engineering team and site resources.

Will be interface between contractors, engineering and operations.

This position is located at a client site in Valdosta, GA. No relocation or per diem will be offered.

There are two small projects, one has a $2.5MM TIC and the other will have a $10MM ITC

Needs to have mechanical/ piping background and capable of following E/I contracts.

Capable of

Ensure contractor compliance to site conditions and Safety Procedures

Completing safe work permits. Leading tool box talks. Audit JSA’s and safety.

Monitoring and ensuring construction quality

Monitoring conformance to construction drawings

Administering construction contracts

Monitoring contractor hours and T&M work as needed

Communication with project team members.

Attend bid meetings, and provide input into bid scopes.

Interface between contractor, engineering and operations

Requirements/Qualifications

Candidates should have knowledge of safe work practices related to construction. The following are l examples; however it is understandable if the candidate does not have familiarity with all areas.

Crane operations

Rigging and lifting

Excavation

Concrete forming and pouring

Welding and pipe fabrication

Equipment setting

Steel erection

Electrical wiring and installation

Commissioning and troubleshooting experience a plus

Must be able to read or understand:

P&ID’s

Isometric piping drawings

Wiring diagrams and single line diagrams a plus

Equipment arrangements drawings

Details and Specifications

Experience with installation of:

Vessels

Piping

Piping components including valves, regulators, strainers, traps, and misc others.

Instrumentation

Pumps

Equipment setting

Typically requires and 8-12 years of construction experience.
