Project Manager, Engineering
Under broad direction, this position has bottom line responsibility for the financial and technical success of the project. He/She has responsibility for all phases of project planning, detailed engineering execution, procurement and construction on chemical industry capital projects. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. The incumbent has responsible for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction. Possesses knowledge of and has experience in the engineering of general industrial plants with emphasis on chemical industry experience.
This position is available at clients sites located in South Charleston and New Martinsville, WV and Pittsburgh, PA.
No Per Diem will be offered.
Planning, organizing, and coordinating project activities in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company
Day to day contact and communication with clients and project teams
Managing project execution to contractual requirements
Develop project objectives, basic data, cost, duration and readiness to engage on-site engineering site team resources
May supervise technical resources on site for project performance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, preferred Civil or Mechanical discipline
years’ of engineering and construction industry experience
years’ experience managing projects in the chemical industry
Excellent written and verbal communication
Excellent Microsoft suite skills
Work is located at a chemical manufacturing plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes
Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots
Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc
Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs
May require walking the plant property
