The
Newcastle-based office is a new enthusiastic and focused team with a mix of project
managers, water engineers, environmental scientists, environmental engineers
and planners, and we are seeking a driven individual to join our team. While at
KBR you have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects including in
the water, transport, natural resources, and government sectors. The group
provides specialist environmental inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, as
well as undertaking its own scientific and technical investigations for
clients. The person will work closely with our Sydney-based office.
The role is open to senior environmental practitioners,
ideally with experience ranging from six to ten years.
Responsibilities
This role will
provide technical support, write reports and plans, and participate in multi-disciplinary
teams on a range of projects.
The role
will have a strong focus on NSW and will likely comprise the following
responsibilities:
Performing
work in the areas of environmental impact assessment, natural resource
management, permitting and approval processes
Provision of project environmental management advice and
oversight in relation to environmental legislation and considering a range of
matters such as contaminated land, vegetation, surface water and groundwater,
and noise and air quality
Oversight of construction activities including on-site roles
such as environmental auditing, site inspections, etc
Ability
to
d
evelop and maintain
relationships with clients, colleagues, and government and private stakeholders
Managing and delivering projects on schedule, within budget
and to the required quality standards
Bidding for and winning work
Requirements
Experienced
project manager of Part 4, Part 5 and Part 5.1 of the EP&A Act
Knowledge
and understanding of Federal, state and local legislation, regulatory
frameworks, and policy, and experience applying it to achieve practical
outcomes
Experience
in environmental impact assessment and approval processes
Existing
networks in the NSW environment industry
Demonstrated
experience working in multidisciplinary project teams
Experience
in the successful management and delivery of environmental projects, with time
and project management skills
Relevant environmental
(Planning/Science/Engineering) degree (or equivalent)
