The

Sydney-based Environment and Planning group is an enthusiastic and focused team

with a mix of environmental scientists, acoustic specialists, environmental

engineers, planners and community engagement specialists, and we are seeking a

driven individual to join our team. While at KBR you have the opportunity to work

on a wide range of projects including in the water, transport, natural

resources, resources and government sectors. The group provides specialist environmental

inputs to multi-disciplinary projects, as well as undertaking its own

scientific and technical investigations for clients.

This role will lead

projects, provide technical support, write reports and plans, and participate

in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects.

The role will have a strong focus on NSW and

will likely comprise the following responsibilities:

Performing work in the

areas of environmental impact assessment, natural resource management,

permitting and approval processes

Provision of project environmental management advice and

oversight in relation to environmental legislation and considering a range of

matters such as contaminated land, vegetation, surface water and groundwater,

and noise and air quality

Support broader engineering capability by scoping and

delivering environmental inputs to multidisciplinary projects

Maintain awareness of project progress to ensure technical

excellence is achieved and meets client satisfaction and to position for future

work;

Provide technical oversight, technical guidance, and

technical inputs to projects to ensure that project outcomes meet or exceed the

required project outcomes

Promote KBR environmental expertise in the market place by

providing technical papers at conferences

Remain up to date with relevant Commonwealth, State and

Local legislation, policies and guidelines

Contribute to the identification and pursuit of

opportunities including writing project award submissions and bids.

Provide team leadership and task management

Ability to

d

evelop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues,

and government and private stakeholders

Managing and delivering projects on schedule, within budget

and to the required quality standards

Successful consideration requirements include:

Experienced

project manager of Part 4, Part 5 and Part 5.1 of the EP&A Act

Knowledge

and understanding of Federal, state and local legislation, regulatory

frameworks, and policy, and experience applying it to achieve practical

outcomes

Experience

in environmental impact assessment and approval processes

Existing

networks in the NSW environment industry

Demonstrated

experience working in multidisciplinary project teams

Experience

in the successful management and delivery of environmental projects, with time

and project management skills

Relevant

environmental (Planning/Science/Engineering) degree (or equivalent) coupled

with over fifteen years experience (desirable)
