Summary of Responsibility :

Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination and quality control of subcontractors and craft personnel.

Ensures the safety and well-being of personnel at project sites.

Complete and maintain daily progress/production reports.

Provide QC/QA inspections for all on site work.

Monitor construction progress to ensure timely completion of each project.

Position Duties:

Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and job site operations in accordance with project requirements

Assist in establishing, maintain and updating project construction schedules

Conduct pre-final and final inspection and establish and track punch list items through completion

Assist in establishing site specific safety/QC plans

Monitor and maintain site specific safety/QC plans.

Provide daily safety/QC awareness and inspection to ensure subcontractor and personnel compliance with projects requirements.

Prepare, submit, and maintain project daily job site activities report

Assist the project manager in preparing and holding per construction meetings with clients and subcontractors.

Scheduled all project activities and testing in compliance with project schedule timelines and schedule mile stones

Prepare punch list and project closeout documents

Work as a productive team members, subcontractors and clients in collaborative manner for the overall success of the team

Other duties as may be required

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications :

A minimum of 5 years a superintendent for multi trade construction projects with a commercial or industrial general contractor.

Airport experience preferred and must be able to pass security clearance, both City of LA and Federal.

Associate degree in construction/engineering related degree a plus but not required

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CQM Certification preferred

OSHA 10 course, Red Cross First Aid, and CPR Certification is preferred, OSHA 30 a Plus

Experience supervising and managing craftspeople and multiple subcontractors on multiple construction and repair projects

Previous Job Order Contract experience preferred

Basic computer understanding including e-mail, MS Office, and Excel

Good oral and written communication skills

Good time management and organizational skills

Ability to work well in a team environment
