Structural Engineer

– Kirtland AFB, New Mexico

This position is contingent upon contract award

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the development of work processes, tools, and knowledge resources that support the mission of the facility

Lead the establishment of guidelines and processes used for technical requirements, quality control, documentation

Maintain documentation supporting facility design

Lead key engineering efforts to include code compliance and safety standards

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

Shall have and maintain professional registration as an engineer under the requirements of the New Mexico State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors (http://www.sblpes.state.nm.us/), based on having passed the Structural Engineering exam (see http://ncees.org/engineering/se/ and NMAC 16.39.3.8).

Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (i.e., MAXIMO, CAD/GIS)

Currently holds a SECRET security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Licenses/Certifications: Professional Engineer preferred

Excellent communication skills
