Sr. Manager, Global Compensation
KBR is seeking an HR Sr. Manager, Global Compensation to ensure broad-based and executive compensation programs, practices, and policies comply with local, state and federal laws. Builds, improves and maintains compensation infrastructure; job codes, job families and job family descriptions. Develops and implements organization wide compensation communications and education. Designs, develops, implement and administers global compensation policies, processes, structure, guidelines and programs including short-term and long-term incentives for all levels of employees.
Acts as a consultant with human resources business partners and clients on day-to-day compensation decision-making, project implementation and compensation program development. Recommends corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation-related issues. Develops and/or participates in global compensation surveys and market analysis to identify trends in total rewards and strategically determines the company's competitive position in a highly competitive market to enable recruiting, employee engagement and retention strategies. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure, job revisions and organizational structures.
Prepares special studies and recommendations on subjects such as variable pay, performance management, employee development, etc.
Uses a logical and systematic approach to accurately analyze data, problems, and situations; specifically with regards to employee compensation programs including the organization of job classifications, global pay structures, etc.
Implement, analyze, and administer the executive compensation incentive and equity plans
Analyze, prepare, and review incentive plan calculations and presentations
Manage daily activities of stock administration (Long Term Incentive Plan and Employee Stock Purchase Plan)
Perform analysis and detailed review of work product from Compensation Analysts
Ensure that the incentive and equity administration is in compliance with established guidelines, processes, and procedures
Work with external vendors to ensure incentive and equity administration is supported accurately
Responsible for the preparation and review of the Compensation Committee materials
Responsible for the preparation and review of the Compensation Discussion & Analysis
Provide accurate, complete, and timely submission of required reports, forecasts, and various analyses
Participate in executive compensation surveys
Implement process improvements
Undergraduate degree and 10
years of progressive experience in Compensation in a highly competitive market, preferably including work with the Proxy and executive/equity compensation
A minimum of three (3) years of previous experience in the design and implementation of compensation programs. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
Working knowledge of HRIS systems, report generation, etc.
Excellent skills in both mathematical and comparative analysis
Advanced skills in Excel (formulas, charting, etc.)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to generate and deliver presentations to leadership team
Experience supervising employees
Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
Experience managing processes and ensuring compliance with policy, legal, and administrative requirements
Able to multi-task and work in an environment with multiple deadlines
Must exercise considerable planning, judgment and ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with initiative and accuracy
Thoroughness and very high attention to detail is key to the role
Experience working with international compensation teams
Self-starter as well as an effective team player
Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner
Good leadership, inter-personal and motivational skills
