Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Perform monthly / quarterly accounting activities (record, report, control, and analyze) related to KBR’s benefit plans including the global stock-based compensation benefit plans.
Liaison with KBR HR and KBR’s third party administrator for the share based plans, to ensure all awards/options are appropriately recorded.
Develop expense allocation rates for KBR’s annual budget and periodic forecasts, as well as related analysis of variances to plans.
Prepare quarterly/annual schedules for financial disclosure and management reporting.
Perform internal controls related to compensation-based benefit activities and ensure controls design and execution are effective for KBR’s SOX control framework.
Respond to internal and external auditors regarding periodic requests
Participate in quarterly reviews with Finance management regarding corporate cost performance and balance sheet analysis.
Document and maintain SOP’s and work templates related assigned accounting activities.
Work with the Finance team to streamline processes for efficiency and effectiveness and deliver more useful reports and analysis.
Participate in other department activities, such as annual benefit audits and process improvement initiatives, as assigned.
Accounting Degree (advanced degree or CPA preferred)
Demonstrated work experience in application of GAAP (5 to 7 years)
Experience with SAP, Hyperion HFM, and Essbase & Planning knowledge (preferred)
Proficient using Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing and working independently
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Collaborative work style
Strong analytical skills with attention to details
Project management and problem solving skills
Demonstrated leadership, beyond formal authority
Public accounting experience is desired but not required
