Proposal Coordinator

The primary responsibilities of the proposal coordinator encompass opportunity response coordination, sales material development and finalization, knowledge management, and research and analysis.

Coordinates the functions and materials necessary to produce multi-volume proposals; the primary publications production functions include proposal development, software support, editing, word processing, desktop publishing, graphic arts, and copying.

Serves as focal point to expedite production cycles and adherence to time sensitive schedules.

Provides advice and direction to team members about production issues and develops task/time schedules. Estimates scope of work to complete proposal tasks with tight time frames and budgetary guidelines.

Analyzes client documents, such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs), to determine finalization and production requirements.

Establishes response template(s) and formatting in compliance with client directions and KBRwyle standards.

Coordinates the development and maintenance for a variety of proposal development initiatives, such as the Proposal Archive and Past Performance Database.

Provides document control for files related to Business Development.

Prepares written and graphic elements of sales documents.

May lead the Past Performance Volume including writing individual citations. May also write required Plans and Resumes.

Responsible for arranging pursuit and proposal review logistical support.

Proofs and edits text and graphics for compliance, content, and proper grammar.

Performs research for proposals as required in support of proposal development.

Provides proposal software functional assistance and training to team members during proposal development activities.

Manages the proposal finalization process.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge about publishing techniques, including the ability to operate PC-based software and hardware and proposal packages.

Strong customer relationship skills.

Knowledge of the proposal process.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities and assignments.

Ability to work on a team, either in a support function or as a documentation project leader.

Willingness to work overtime on short notice.

Experience and Education:

BA/BS degree, preferably in English or Journalism, and 2 years of related experience, or AA degree or equivalent and 6 years of related experience.
