Crane Operator – Contingency hire

Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Operates designated machine or equipment. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed. Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience and certification. Heavy Equipment may include: Wheel/Overhead Cranes up to 200 tons, Dragline, Grader, Lattice Boom Cranes, Long Boom Cranes, Cranes with Special Attachments, Tower Cranes, Derricks.

Crane operators shall meet the personnel qualifications requirements in paragraph 16.B of EM 385-1-1 and paragraph 1.7.2 of NAVFAC P-307. For mobile cranes with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) rated capacitates of 2,000 pounds or greater, designate crane operators as qualified by a source that qualifies crane operators (i.e., union, a government agency, or an organization that tests and qualifies crane operators).

Must be fluent in English

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
