Electrician, Maintenance

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE:

This position performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for

generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any of a variety

of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit

systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing

trouble in the electrical system or equipment, working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical

equipment, and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the

maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent

training and experience.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPEREINCE / ABILITIES:

EXPEREINCE: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience

ABILITIES:

The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment

with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals. Proven management skills to include effective

planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills –

data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to

consensus. Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities. Excellent

communication skills – verbal, written and listening. Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craft persons to

senior executives. Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have an interim-SECRET Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Cannot hold dual citizenships, if so will have to be relinquished prior to hiring

Fluent in English language

Must possess US passport book (not passport card) with at least 15 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess Guam driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
