Our

Project Solutions group is currently looking for a water/wastewater engineer to help with the current workload and development of business opportunities in the water/wastewater sector, but also environmental and renewable energy sectors.

Job Description:

Responsible for all services related to environmental input to engineering projects including permitting assistance, environmental impact studies, air, noise, water and soil pollution mitigation system design, solid waste disposal system design, and waste minimization system design.

Under general supervision, performs all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter. Devises new approaches to problems encountered. Plans, schedules, and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of environmental techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Performs work which involves conventional environmental practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements. Provides technical guidance to less experienced personnel. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering or Environment.

Requires sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained professional.

Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents. Also may be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project. As the lead, plans, budgets, organizes, coordinates and controls the project and is responsible for employee performance appraisals and for coaching and developing lower level professionals. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred for Engineers.

Experience Required:

Extensive experience in water /

wastewater engineering (industrial as well as municipal is a must).

Experience at all stages of a project development: feasibility, project or execution phase.

Experience in environmental and renewable energies would be very beneficial.

Good level of English to professional fluency is required.

Intermediate level in another language would be desirable.
