SOCAR HAOR project has opportunities for a Sr. Subcontracts Manager.

About the Project

SOCAR HAOR Reconstruction and Modernisation:

SOCAR's Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery (HAOR) will undergo a modernisation and revamping with the final aim to increase the refinery capacity for fuels production, achieve improvement of the fuel quality to comply with future regulatory requirements and meeting the increasing domestic demand.

SOCAR as part of the integrated project management team environment.

The main project execution will be in Baku but this role will be based in the EPC contractors offices in Europe

Job Description:

Performs full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work.

Qualifies suppliers, issues requests for proposals, evaluates proposals, maintains subcontract files in accordance to established procedures.

Oversees and performs the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work on a project.

Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within a function.

Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to managers or professional staff.

Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and relevant experience including management experience.


Willing to work overseas

Good communication skills with the ability to build good client relations.

EPC experience.

IRCS or Chartered Engineer.

IACCM and a second language would be desirable.
