Position Title: Project Coordinator - Engineering
KBR is seeking a Project Coordinator.
Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Project engineering management. Responsible for all detailed engineering execution, budget, schedule performance. Also responsible for assembling and writing proposals and project reports. The candidate will also coordinate procurement efforts, project estimates, write project reports, and conduct construction pre-bid meetings. The candidate must also travel to plant site weekly or be on site full time.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls domestic and international projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company. Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction. Alternatively, may have responsibility for management and contract performance on two or more smaller projects.
Possesses knowledge of and has experience in the engineering of general industrial plants with emphasis on Pulp and Paper experience. Supervises project personnel through subordinate leaders (structural, mechanical, process, electrical, control systems, cost, scheduling). May also serve as the proposal manager of major domestic and international project proposals.
Skills are typically acquired through completion of an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years related experience, with average experience of 5
years, including several years of experience at the Project Manager level, preferably on pulp and paper or related industrial projects.
• BS in engineering. Minimum of 5 years Experience in engineering, procurement and construction execution for pulp and paper mill projects. Project check out and start up experience a plus. Knowledge and experience in scheduling, leading project estimate preparation, providing construction field engineering support is required. Process and process control knowledge is a plus but not required. Previous experience with a pulp and paper consulting firm is a plus.
