Position Description/Job Responsibilities
Position Summary - Support PSL management from an accounting and financial perspective to help ensure achievement of corporate, operational and functional objectives.
Under general direction, person will timely complete assigned tasks, establish priorities and help develop process efficiencies and best practices.
Project accounting concentrated role to include monthly accounting close, financial and project reporting/analysis, cash management, budgeting/forecasting and control compliance (e.g. company policies/procedures, SOX and FCPA, etc.).
Finance role to include Operations/Sales support.
Monthly Close – revenue recognition, cost accruals, project cost review/analysis, journal entries, backlog,
P&L/balance sheet validation and reconciliation
Financial Reporting – P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting to operational and corporate management – with full understanding of results
Project Reporting – Actual and Estimate at Completion (EAC) review and approval
Cash Management – Accounts receivable/payable oversight, unbilled review/resolution
Budget/Forecast – PSL data consolidation, review and reporting to operational and corporate management – with full understanding of results
Control Compliance – Ensure operational efficiency, reliability of financial reporting and compliance with applicable laws and regulations (SOX testing, Audit support, etc.)
Operations/Sales Support – A&F lead for proposed work opportunities (contract review, financial risk mitigation, etc.)
Other – Cross training with Wilmington A&F, technical accounting assessments, SAP system set up and operations/corporate special requests
Completion of undergraduate degree in accounting (advanced degree or CPA preferred)
years of applicable work experience
Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to think critically, problem solver
Strong computer skills, experience with SAP and Hyperion HFM (preferred) and intermediate to advanced MS Excel a must
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills
