The Role

As the Communication IT Network Engineer you will assist the Defence Capability Acquisition Group with providing a leading-edge communication system that will enhance the effectiveness of the telecommunications provided to forces on deployed operations.

Ideally we are looking for an IT Network Engineer who has a background in Local Area Network and the implementation of software products applications on deployable IT, as well as CISCO network experience.

Knowledge of the Defence acquisition communications or electronic projects would be advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 8 -15 years experience in a similar role

Bachelor of Engineering in Communications Network / Systems Engineering

Experience working on Defence projects preferably acquisition projects

Highly developed organisational and analytical skills

Demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships through high level communication skills

Suitable candidates must be Australian Citizens with an Australian Government Security

Clearance (NV1) or the ability to acquire .
