Medical Director / Chief Medical Officer

Position is contingent upon award of the contract

This role is responsible for directing a comprehensive medical/clinical program.

Under administrative direction, provides medical oversight of the Projects health protection programs.

Establishes policy regarding what medical services the department will provide, ensures that clinical practices are uniform and up-to-date.

Provides clinical supervision of operations, medical staff, and other health professionals assigned.

Acts as liaison to project community.

Conducts medical examinations; collects, evaluates, and analyzes subjective and objective medical data; makes diagnoses, formulates treatment plans, prescribes medication or therapy, and determines need for further or specialized treatment; confers with patient's regarding nature of patient's illness and recommended treatment. Performs other duties as assigned. This role is responsible for directing a comprehensive medical/clinical program.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Education:

graduated from an approved medical school and completed a residency or fellowship as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Osteopathy (D.O.) from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicant's graduation or, a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from a foreign medical school that provided education and medical knowledge substantially equivalent to accredited schools in the United States.

This accreditation may be demonstrated by permanent certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) (or a fifth pathway certificate for Americans who completed premedical education in the United States and graduate education in a foreign country).

Licensure: Medical License with DEA registration number

Certification:

Board certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.

ACLS required.

Experience – 5 or more years of experience within the past 15 years
