Vehicle & Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Manager (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Vehicle & Aerospace Ground Equipment Manager (V&AGEM) shall perform vehicle maintenance in accordance with (IAW) TO 36-1-191 and vehicle-specific commercial manuals.
The V&AGEM shall perform AGE maintenance, management, and support functions IAW AFI 21-101, AFI 21-101 ACCSUP, T.O.00-20-1, and applicable Air Force T.O.’s or commercial manuals, and document all repairs and services separately to avoid co-mingling of Government Furnished Equipment and KBR Furnished Equipment expenses.
Perform corrective maintenance (CM) on firefighting, refueling, material handling, and other special purpose vehicles assigned maintaining a minimum in commission rate of 90%.
Establish and maintain for each vehicle historical records, work orders, prepare and retain accident repairs, coordinate vehicle assembly purchases, and prepare and retain AFTO Forms 91s.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
Completion of trade school or equivalent and more than three (3) years of experience performing maintenance, mechanical, technician or assembler tasks.
CERTIFICATIONS: USAF/DoD Trade Certification or equivalent, certificate of training in vehicle& AGE maintenance or related field from a maintenance organization or from an accredited technical college or university, Refuel Maintenance Course (J3AZR2F051 03AB) or similar certificate, EPA CFC Automotive Refrigerant Serving Certification, and USAF AGE Tech School or US Armed Service equivalent graduate.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Vehicle Management with at least two (2) years in Management capacity. Minimum of five (5) years of experience on Firefighting, Aircraft Tow, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Vehicles.
At least five (5) years of experience with USAF/DoD AGE Operations to include all Equipment Maintenance and Management functions.
ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.
Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craft persons to senior executives.
Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.
Security Clearance: SECRET
Fluent in English language
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
