Quality Management Representative (Contingency Hire)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Quality Management Representative (QMR) is responsible for the KBR's quality management program and assures that subcontractors implement a QM program, which meets the requirements of this contract. This individual shall independently administer the KBR's QM program and report directly to KBR’s corporate management. The QMR shall have full authority to coordinate the rework of non-conforming work and have full responsibility for assuring performance objectives and standards identified in this contract are met.

Key duties include (1)

determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards and/or specifications, (2) investigating and setting standards for quality/health and safety, (3) ensuring that work processes comply with standards at both national and international level, (4) writing management/technical reports, and (5) acting as a catalyst for change and improvement in performance/quality. The QMR is also responsible for the development and implementation of the Quality Management System such as Harrington QMS or Microsoft SharePoint.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPEREINCE / ABILITIES :

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering and scientific fields, based on a four-year course of study from a U.S. or U.K. accredited college or university or equivalent institution;

OR seven (7) to fourteen (14) years of experience in Quality Management.

CERTIFICATIONS:

American Society for Quality (ASQ); Certified Quality Auditor (CQA); ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

EXPEREINCE:

The QMR shall have at least five (5) years’ experience with the U.S. Air Force or Contractor Quality experience gained by performing specialized work in a closely related professional occupation such as Industrial Engineering or other engineering scientific fields. The QMR shall have three (3) to ten (10) years’ experience running a proactive and robust QM program for a multi-function service contract.

ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.

Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.

Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities.

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.

Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craft persons to senior executives.

Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a SECRET Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one

Fluent in English language

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
