Logistics & Traffic Manager (Contingency Hire)


The Logistics & Traffic Manager (LTM) shall manage an efficient and cost effective logistics system that includes fuels management, AGE flight line services and maintenance, vehicle operations and maintenance, supply chain management, and government and KBR furnished equipment management functions.

Additionally, supervise traffic management functions and responsibilities in support of the Forward Operating Location (FOL) in accordance with (IAW) FAR Part 47, AFI 24-203 and DoD 4500.9-R, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR), Parts II, III, IV, V and VI.

The LTM must provide and document employee training as required by Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Title 49, Subtitle B, Chapter 1, Subchapters A, B, and C and the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Develops and implements plans and programs related to the timely, cost effective procurement, movement, warehousing, inventory control, planning and quality control of supplies and materials.

Performs other job duties as assigned.



Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics Management or associated discipline.

Or fifteen (15) or more years’ experience in a related field can be substituted for the four-year degree requirement.

CERTIFICATIONS: Certification in surface, air, and sea freight movements and are able to accomplish the necessary customs documentation for duty free shipments.

Certificate of proof of training from a traffic management school or related field from an accredited technical college or university.

Certificate of training in Hazardous Material and 1387-2 certified.


Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in managing a Department of Defense (DoD) logistics system specifically in fuels and supply chain management.

At least five (5) years of remote location Supply Chain Management.

Prior experience in a high volume, remote, logistically challenged global supply chain management environment.

Property Management experience desirable. Prior military (Air Force) logistics experience preferred.

Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.

ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.

Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.

Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.

Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craft persons to senior executives.

Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.

Fluent in English language

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
