Civil Engineering (CE) Manager / Project Planner (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Civil Engineering (CE) Manager/Project Planner is responsible for effective and efficient operations of U.S.-owned and occupied facilities, associated installed equipment, and infrastructure.
This includes the maintenance of all infrastructure, engineering support, fire protection and prevention services, emergency management, storm water drainage systems, pavements, airfields, generators, signage, water distribution systems, sanitary sewer systems, compressed gas systems, exterior electrical distribution systems, cathodic protection systems, facility maintenance, locksmith services, custodial services, refuse collection and disposal.
Coordination of AF Form 332s work requests, Project Planning, Maintenance & Repair (M&R) Projects, Minor Construction (MC) Projects, Engineering Services such as Construction Management, Monitoring, Coordination, Inspection, and Acceptance.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPEREINCE / ABILITIES :
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related discipline from a four year course of study from a U.S. or U.K. accredited college or university; and demonstrated knowledge of and successful practice in implementing regulations, manuals, technical orders, standards, and other related industry publications.
EXPEREINCE; Five (5) years USAF or Civilian Base Civil Engineering or experience in a closely related professional occupation.
ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.
Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craft persons to senior executives.
Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.
Must have a SECRET Security Clearance, or the ability to obtain one
Fluent in English language
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
