Manages and performs activities within Air Mobility Command (AMC) command post (CP), operations centers, coordination centers, and command centers.
Provides command, control, communications, and information support. Receives and relays command and control (C2) instructions and records, and collects, processes, and submits manual and automated data products.
Establishes procedures for operational reports, readiness reports, and the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) report.
Uses communications systems and consoles to affect positive control of forces and systems. Uses knowledge of Air Force and AMC organization,
administration, and instructions to ensure compliance with CP policies and procedures. Responsible for handling automated operational data, controlling input and output data from automated CP systems using data processing devices, data coding methods, and communication operations.
Uses CP supporting data systems and reporting; automated data processing equipment use, capabilities, and limitations; techniques of presenting data; data collection procedures and summary techniques; purpose of command post for preparing, executing, and controlling forces; emergency actions and directives; and command and control systems movement and transfer procedures.
Interfaces with Air Terminal Operations Center (ATOC) overseeing Aircraft and Passenger Service operations by monitors originating, terminating, or transiting aircraft missions, relays mission information and ensures readiness of terminal resources required to receive, document, plan/load-plan, and move passengers, cargo, and mail ensuring maximum aircraft utilization and on-time aircraft departure.
Specific Job Requirements:
Must have Journeyman or higher knowledge in Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 1C3X1, Command Post.
Must have course completion certificate for AMC Command & Control Course (AMC C2 Course)
Must be US Citizen with /or ability to obtain US Secret clearance.
