Environmental Supervisor

Provides management oversight and leads Installation Environmental Program activities and personnel. Coordinates the delivery and execution of Environmental services to support all functional areas, operations, and base personnel. Responsible for development and execution of the Site Environmental Plan. Directs, schedules, and assigns work requiring judgment and adaptation of environmental techniques, procedures and criteria.


Responsible for environmental activities related to camp operations and maintenance activities to include; execution of Hazardous Material (HM) Hazardous Waste (HW), and Biological Waste (BW) collection, storage, disposal, and waste minimization actions, and Oil and Hazardous Substances (OHS) clean up Response Teams.

Provides ownership and control of designated Hazardous Waste Storage Areas (HWSA) locations.

Performs supervisory and leadership responsibilities, including prioritization and assignment of work, and training / development of subordinate personnel.

Ensures the installation environmental program complies with applicable directives including Department of Defense (DOD) Overseas Environmental Baseline Guidance Document (OEBGD) policies, procedures, and instructions.

Compiles and publishes Environmental Management Program records and reports.

Skills and Education Requirements

Demonstrated professional knowledge of DOD and Federal regulatory processes and standards.

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree or 7 to 10

years of experience, 4

of which should be in a supervisory role.

Current HAZWOPER certification

Professional registration or certification preferred.

Position requires excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and ability to serve as a key participant in orchestrating and coordinating base level environmental programs.

Ability to assess trends and implement strategies to correct program deficiencies as required.

Recent environmental management experience on Army/Navy/Marine/ USAF CONUS and/or OCONUS projects preferred

Prior LOGCAP experience preferred

Additional requirements:

Must be fluent in English

Must possess passport book with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
