Electrical Superintendent

Provides leadership to cause the creation of processes required to fully execute all Electrical requirements. Responsible for technical compliance with Electrical Standards and Codes as directed by the Task Order Statement of Work.

Must demonstrate thorough understanding of NFPA 70 – National Electric Code (NEC), or the British Standard 7671, or other internationally recognized electrical regulations and standards as approved by HQ LC IV.

Must be able to apply technical standards to new construction, renovations and upgrade existing structures not installed per western building standards.

Must be fluent with proper installation techniques and display highest level of workmanship.

Responsible for supervising crews made up of diverse subcontract and direct hired employees.

Responsible for training and providing instruction on proper installation methods, standards, regulations, and workmanship.

Certification as Master Electrician or Journeyman required.

Must be capable of classifying electrical distribution systems, trouble-shooting and identifying circuit faults across a broad range of applications. Knowledgeable of AC theory, motors, starters, transformers, residual current devices, and overcurrent protective devices.

Understands the safe operation and applications of instruments provided for circuit analysis and testing, including power analyzers, ground rod resistance meters, ground fault loop impedance testers, residual current device testers, and similar test equipment standard in the trade.

Reads and interprets blue prints, schematics, instructions, and other technical documentation. Plans work activities. Coordinates movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Maintains, repairs, replaces or installs a broad range of electrical equipment and

systems in support of base construction and maintenance activities. Maintains tools and equipment, and maintains both to safe standards. Responsible for identifying proper materials, suitable for the use, listed, and as required for specific installations, submitting material requisitions and following up with materials and/or logistics personnel until received.

Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed.

Assists General Site Manager by providing input to identify key success factors for Electrical crew. Develops organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of electrical construction and maintenance and is responsible for internal quality control, subcontractor performance, and construction cost. Evaluates electrical service execution for compliance with design data, schedule, budget, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on as-scheduled and as-needed basis. Maintains the short term look ahead plans and reviews all schedule deviations with the General Foreman or Superintendent.

Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
