KBR Melbourne delivers electrical design services as part of our work for the Victorian Metropolitan and Regional water authorities and State transport authorities. We are currently engaged on Melbourne Water’s Technical Services Panel delivering consulting services, and on the Capital Delivery Panel as part of a Joint Venture team delivering Design & Construct projects.

We are also engaged on major rail projects including the MMRA Early Works Project, the Mernda Rail Extension and a number of level crossing removals. This provides a very broad range of opportunities across the two sectors and all disciplines.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with approximately 15 years’ experience in the water and/or transport sectors, preferably with a mix of design and construction experience.

Responsibilities:

Managing and delivering electrical and control system studies and design projects

Coordinating electrical design within broader water and wastewater and transport projects

Working in an integrated team with construction team members within the Capital Delivery Panel D&C team.

Performing team leadership roles and reporting to business and project management

Developing strong relationships with key client personnel and identifying and developing business opportunities

Mentoring and developing junior staff

Requirements:

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), or equivalent

10 - 15 years’ experience in the water sector and/or transport sectors, preferably in Victoria

Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer will be well regarded

Capability in LV, HV and protection design and instrumentation and controls engineering

Capability in overseeing and running consulting projects and working with construction personnel on D&C projects

Proven technical experience on water and transport projects

Demonstrated knowledge of Melbourne Water and Victorian transport authority standards and practices strongly preferred

Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with clients

Strong technical and proposal writing skills
