Title: Principal Civil Designer Team Leader

Our Civil team consults to a range of clients in the Transport, Water and Industrial sectors. With some recent, major Transport project wins and a rise in the activity in these markets we require a Principal Designer to join our well established and growing team. Ideally this role will suit a developed civil design professional with knowledge and experience of Australian road design and drafting standards and experience across a broad range of infrastructure projects.
This role will also give you the opportunity to take a leadership role in rolling out our transition to Bentley OpenRoads
Working with the design engineer to complete designs and drafting work including drawings within negotiated standards of time, cost and quality
Use Australian and client standards and established industry practices
Demonstrating an understanding of client needs and achieving a good level of client satisfaction
Mentoring and leading other civil designers in the team
Carry out Civil design tasks using Bentley InRoads and Microstation computer software to the appropriate standard and within agreed timelines.
Associate Diploma in Structural/Civil Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification
Competency in Microstation
Competent using InRoads
Developed drafting experience including knowledge and experience of Australian standards
Experience working in a Design and Construct environment desirable
Ideally looking for 10
years’ industry related experience in an engineering consultancy environment
