KBR Melbourne delivers consulting services and Design & Construct projects in the water sector. This provides a very broad range of opportunities and experience for our team. We are currently working on major water pipelines and sewer rehabilitation, and mechanical and electrical pumping and treatment works upgrades.
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 8 years’ experience in the water sector, and previous experience working on projects for Melbourne Water and other Victorian water authorities. The preferred applicant will have a mix of design and construction experience, with an emphasis on design, in water and wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations. We are seeking a person with cross discipline knowledge in the electrical, instrumentation and controls areas, with the ability to undertake design and site engineering roles involving management of mechanical and electrical construction projects.
Performing a Project Manager role on small to medium sized projects
Performing a Project Engineer role on significant projects
Undertaking design and site engineering roles
Managing bids for prospective projects
Building strong relationships with key client personnel and identifying and developing business opportunities
Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
Eligibility for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
5 to 8 years’ experience within the water sector on investigations, design, and site engineering for capital projects
Knowledge of Melbourne Water standards and practices strongly preferred
Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with clients
Strong technical writing skills.
