This key role reports to the Director Business Support and Delivery assurance, and will be responsible for ensuring our large projects are managed well from a commercial and contractual perspective, as well as ensuring that the projects are delivered on time and meet the clients expectations.



Analyze, evaluate and manage commercial risks ensuring optimal commercial outcomes for the projects

Manage key commercial relationships with the projects you are working on

Ensure application of commercial policies, processes and compliance requirements.

Provide direction and advice to the project Director in the areas of commercial/contract management,

Develop and manage constructive relationships with the key stakeholders

Prepare, update and report against commercial deliverables of the projects

Advise and assist in the management of contractual/commercial issues in coordination with the KBR Legal Department


Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, construction or commerce

Significant experience working in a similar role within a large engineering and/or construction organisation

A strong understanding of commercial contracts and arrangements as they apply to major projects in Australia

Demonstrated high level commercial negotiation skills

Knowledge of the Commercial/contractual requirements of State Government entities

Exposure to Defence contracts

Established networks within the engineering and/or construction industry

Ability to advise and mentor project staff on commercial matters

Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills

Sound client facing skills with the ability to maintain and develop commercial client relationships
