KBR Adelaide delivers consulting services and design & construct projects in the water sector. This provides a very broad range of opportunities and experience for our team. We are currently working on investigations and designs for major water pipelines, water and wastewater pump stations and treatment plant upgrades.

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience working in water process engineering in the design of mechanical and hydraulic systems. The successful candidate will be an ambitious and proactive individual actively seeking to accept responsibility and be develop a deeper knowledge of related engineering disciplines for the water sector.

Responsibilities

Preparing and reviewing designs, technical reports, drawings, technical specifications

Delivering investigations and studies and including detailed reporting

Assisting with the preparation of bids for prospective projects

Performing a mechanical engineering design role on significant projects

Supporting ongoing professional development of other team members

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

3-7 years’ experience within the water sector on investigations, design, and site engineering for capital projects

Knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical engineering principals

An understanding of water and wastewater process units as well as a basic knowledge of wastewater principles is desirable

Ability to build relationships and maintain rapport with clients

Strong technical writing skills.
