Our Civil team consults to a range of clients in the transport and industrial sectors. With some recent, major project wins and a rise in the activity in these markets we require a Senior Civil Engineer to join our well established and growing team. Ideally this role will suit an engineering professional with extensive experience across a broad range of infrastructure projects that is flexible to work across all areas of the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for undertaking or assisting in engineering design and assessment techniques and their applications to a wide range of studies and/or projects;

Provide input to Civil projects in the fields of water, rail and road engineering particularly in relation to pavement designs;

Plans, schedules and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria;

Actively maintains and enhances technical reputation and relationship;;

Provides technical guidance and supervises less experienced engineers

Works independently and/or under the instruction of the Project Manager to complete a wide range civil engineering tasks as required including regular updates;

May undertake the management of a design team to complete concept and detailed design of civil engineering projects;

Prepares reports, contract documents and technical specifications;

Essential Requirements

Qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent

Eligible for full membership of the Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ), or ability to achieve this within 12 months.

Extensive experience across a broad range of transport (road) projects with particular experience in highway design;

Previous understanding working within a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy environment

Strong knowledge of construction and pavement materials;

Substantial experience in general road engineering, particularly Main Roads, BCC and general Civil infrastructure design. Previous experience working in a D & C environment would be desirable
