Our Civil team consults to a range of clients in the transport and industrial sectors. With some recent, major project wins and a rise in the activity in these markets we require a Civil Engineer to join our well established and growing team. Ideally this role will suit an intermediate level engineering professional (5-10 years) with experience across a broad range of road and rail infrastructure projects. While it’s not essential, experience in drainage and/or pavement design will also be highly regarded.
Responsible for undertaking or assisting in engineering design and assessment techniques and their applications to a wide range of studies and/or projects;
Provide input to civil projects in the fields of rail and road engineering;
Plan, schedule and conduct work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria;
Actively maintain and enhance technical reputation and relationship;
Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers;
Work independently and/or under the instruction of Senior Engineers and Project Managers to complete a wide range civil engineering tasks as required including regular updates;
Prepare reports, contract documents and technical specifications.
Qualifications in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
Registered Professional Engineers of Queensland (RPEQ) status or ability to achieve this within 12 months;
Experience across a range of road and/or rail projects;
Experience in drainage and/or pavement design highly regarded;
Previous understanding working within a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy or design and construction environment highly regarded;
Good knowledge of construction and pavement materials;
Previous experience in general road engineering, particularly Main Roads, Brisbane City Council and general Civil infrastructure design.
