The opportunity

Our Civil team consults to a range of clients in the transport and industrial sectors and is growing due to ongoing contract and project wins. They are currently in need of an intermediate Civil Engineer with 5-9 years experience who can bring some roads and drainage knowledge with them but also be keen to continue developing within the civil infrastructure area. Transport & Main Roads (TMR) experience is essential and stormwater and pavements knowledge will be highly regarded.

The successful candidate will be working on a wide variety of infrastructure projects within a team of industry leading engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities

Operating within a multi-disciplinary team, this role will be responsible for:

Designing and documenting work on engineering reports, specifications and contract documents;

Assisting in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve many disciplines, investigations, surveys, structures, services and geo technical issues;

Preparing technical reports, contract documents and technical specifications;

Working under the instruction of the project manager to complete engineering tasks as required, contributing to engineering projects;

Working within client requirements and established industry practices;

Providing input into preparation of expressions of interest and bids relating to engineering;

Demonstrating an understanding of client needs and achieving a good level of client satisfaction;

Working with drafters, designers, junior and senior engineers within the team to deliver projects to a high standard.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity applicants must hold Qualifications in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and possess 5-9 years experience across a range of road and drainage infrastructure projects. A good working knowledge of Australian and TMR standards and specifications is required and if you also bring an understanding working within a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy you will be highly regarded for this opportunity.
