Position

Description

Under

direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and

documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials

and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews

records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up

activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all

safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety

equipment. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of

experience.

Position: Technician, Maintenance Welder

·

The

Maintenance Technician Welder is responsible for welding and assembling metal

components in the maintenance repair and installation of piping and vessels and

proactively supports other crafts.

Job

Tasks and Requirements;

·

Accountable

for personal safety, the safety of coworkers and promoting a safe work

environment

·

Perform

pipe fitting and welding in carbon steel, stainless steel, structural and

aluminum while contributing in other maintenance technician work as needed

·

Identify

and perform major and minor equipment repairs utilizing strong mechanical

ability and welding experience. Perform flat, vertical and overhead welding,

cutting and fabricating. Ability to work in high and/or confined spaces

required.

Responds

to maintenance work orders as directed with the appropriate sense of urgency to

minimize impact to process and respond to call-outs.

·

Executes

all assigned maintenance work including safety PM works according to plans and

schedules.

·

Must

have at least 8 years of welding experience in a plant/manufacturing

environment

·

Must

be able to read blueprints, isometric drawings, piping layouts and possess

experience in fabricating from the drawings.

·

Must

keep the work area clean at all times.

·

Forklift

and overhead crane experience is preferred.

·

Must

have welding qualification papers
