ASSOCIATE TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL – PROCESS

Under direct supervision, the Associate Technical Professional – Process independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications. With additional experience within Process Engineering, the incumbent assists in the design of larger and more complex assignments which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability or operations Applicant will also be performing relief valve calculations and documentation under senior engineer supervision.

Applicant will be assigned to the RV team and may work at a local client facility.

RESPONSIBILITES

Responsible for heat and material balance, the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, etc.

Responsible for study, design, and specification and services related to process plants such as ammonia, ethylene, mineral processing, specialty chemicals, refined products, oil and gas production, forest products and water

Responsible for performing relief valve calculations and documentation under senior engineer supervision

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required

Process simulator experience a plus, Hydraulic calculation experience a plus

Relief system experience a plus

DuPont experience a plus
