Clubs and Activities Assistant Manager (Contingency Hire)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include scheduling, training and supervision of staff within the food and beverage department to include dining service, home delivery and catering. The Assistant Manager is responsible for ordering, disbursement and utilization of food products as well as the maintenance of both equipment and service.
Duties also include ensuring all aspects of the operation fall within guidelines of contract.
Furthermore the position is responsible for analyzing data and providing necessary reports to upper management.
The position assists in planning and implementing procedures for special club events and banquet functions. The assistant Manager greets guests and oversees actual service on a routine, random basis. All responsibility is in direct support of Club and Activities Manager.
EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / ABILITIES :
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major study in business management in one or more areas of an appropriate field of food and hospitality management.
CERTIFICATIONS: ServSafe ®
certificate by National Restaurant Association or equivalent. EXPERIENCE; Five (5) years of specialized experience as a NF-4 of NAFI or as a middle manager in a similar or equivalent capacity in civilian commercial business. Three (3) years’ experience in recreation, food, beverage, and entertainment operations.
ABILITIES: The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working in a fast paced multi-discipline team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve team goals.
Proven management skills to include effective planning, organizing, directing and controlling with strong decision making capabilities. Excellent analytical skills – data driven, fact based, root cause focused. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills to lead a team to consensus.
Understanding of litigation and claims processes and experience with legal communities.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening.
Ability to interact with staff at all levels from craftpersons to senior executives.
Knowledge base to successfully diagnosis issues that cover multiple areas of interaction.
Fluent in English language
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
