KBR is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to lead and develop KBR responses to strategic federal government solicitations, working from our Houston Texas proposal center.
The successful candidate will lead the development of compliant, compelling proposals targeting facility and equipment asset management; emergency response and logistics; project and program management; and a variety of bids for mission support required by US government agencies. Required key attributes of selected team members include
A demonstrated minimum of 7 years of experience managing proposals in excess of $100M for US government clients. Experience with Department of Defense clients is preferred.
A technical background/understanding of engineering, construction, and program/project management
A 4-year degree in an engineering, architecture or construction-related profession is required.
Other 4-year college degrees may be considered, if paired with similar relevant business development experience.
A proven ability to direct the work of teams of authors and writers to produce creative, compelling (and winning) responses to US Government solicitations
Must also have the ability to PERSONALLY generate/write/produce creative, compelling (and winning) written responses to government requests and solicitations for quick-turn responses.
A demonstrated ability to lead/manage multi-discipline proposal teams
Desire to develop and shape winning sales/proposal strategy
The successful Proposal Manager participates in all phases of the proposal process from decision to pursue, strategy development, and determining operational solutions, through proposal production and submittal. With minimal direction, the Proposal Manager ensures compliance, leads the proposal team, and is accountable for team performance.
