The Site Superintendent plans for Fire and Life Safety Systems Maintenance and Services contract schedules, coordinates and administers work performed under an overall work management system. Additional responsibilities will include:

Provides site wide management of personnel for routine activities according to established procedures or instructions.

Gathers, compiles, reviews and analyzes data related to facilities.

Performs facility condition assessments; evaluates facility problems and anomalies.

Prepares site studies and reports.

Coordinates with engineering/architectural firms performing facility work and advises and recommends on facility issues.

Evaluates project bids for cost, quality and schedule.

Monitors and inspects services/construction to ensure adherence to quality standards and project schedules.

Leads operation, maintenance, repair and construction work teams.

May perform supervisory responsibilities providing work direction

Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

H.S. Diploma plus technical training in the FAS/FSS field. BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline or related technological field preferred.

NICET Level III or higher certified in Fire Alarm, Sprinkler, and./or Fire suppression systems.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Prefer candidates

that have have completed the 30-hour OSHA Construction safety class or as an equivalent, 30-hours of formal construction safety and health training covering the subjects of the OSHA 30-hour course.

Excellent communication/presentation skills.

Leadership/team facilitation skills.

Strong understanding of facility systems and equipment.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Strong project management skills.

Supervisory experience.

Specific FAS/FSS experience preferred includes:

Fire Alarming, Suppression, and Detection Systems

Fire Sprinkler Systems

Fire Pumps (Electric and Diesel) and Controllers

Interior Mass Notification Systems

Delta 1000 FS90 Graphic

Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI), Monaco D2100 monitoring system

Receiving/Monitoring equipment associated with the addressable fire alarm systems

Fire Extinguishers

Halon-FM 200 System

Standpipes

Honeywell and Monaco fire alarm servers and workstations

Antennas, repeaters, cables connected to fire alarm systems
