Please note there are several positions open - Based in either Leatherhead, London or SW England.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for preparing bid submissions, Contracts, Contract amendments and general advice to the project managers in the Government Services Team.

This is a high profile role with exposure to senior management both in the UK and the US.

It is also client facing at senior levels.

Within the Europe & Africa region of KBR’s Government Services Division projects are delivered by the Head of PMC services or the V.P. of Operations .

Each project is led by a Project manager, supported by a Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Manager.

The Commercial Team comprises Commercial Managers responsible for the production of proposals, delivery of contracts etc and Commercial Accountants responsible for cost/price modelling for new work and change.

Outline Job Scope

To perform various Commercial tasks on a range of projects, including:

Preparation of project bid submissions & managing client interfaces

Providing effective commercial support to the Sales teams

Presentation of business cases to Management at internal review and bid approval meetings

Ensure that the risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements that the business unit enters into are clearly understood amongst the relevant stakeholders

Ensuring that proposals meet all KBR internal governance requirements

Co-ordination with other KBR Departments including Law, Treasury, Tax, Procurement etc

Effective commercial management of all allocated contracts

Develop and maintain strong and professional working relationships with customers (internal and external)

Other ad hoc tasks as needed.

Key Skills & Competencies

Candidates should have a broad range of project management and financial experience, will be able to work mainly unsupervised but as part of a broad-based team, and should be comfortable with communicating at all levels both within the Operational, Commercial, Sales and A&F organisations.

Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (Law, Engineering etc) with at least three years PQE (Post Qualified Experience), the successful candidate will have experience of working in the professional services environment, will be IT literate, with extremely strong drafting skills, have an analytical and enquiring mind, be financially
