KBR has developed and implemented an innovative, cost effective solution for the management of FM services across a wide range of service lines. The FM Integrator concept is an integrated approach for the Management of FM services which is an evolving model in the FM market. As part of the ongoing growth of its Facilities Management business, KBR is actively recruiting to expand its FM Management team to manage current and future public sector facilities management Integrator contracts.


Account Director is responsible for the successful delivery of FM Integrator / Assurance services to the various customers within the portfolio. The Account Director is responsible for:

The successful delivery of all contracts within area of responsibility, ensuring that the contracts are fully compliant with required service standards and specifications

Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements and corporate policies including, but not limited to, Health and Safety, Quality Assurance, and Employment Legislation

The ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong customer focus.

Strategic and experienced leader with a highly disciplined approach to service and process improvement;

Ability to create short, medium and long term business plans, implement them and monitor success, amending plans where necessary;

Able to adapt to a changing environment

Able to inspire and support team towards the achievement of targets

Develop and deliver the most financially and operationally beneficial operating models

Maintain the highest standards of presentation, personal integrity and customer support

Develop and grow the business by actively encouraging a proactive and strategic organic growth attitude with all levels of employees.

Appoint managers and oversee the appointment of key personnel within the region of accountability, providing recommendations regarding recruitment, promotion and training.

Support, lead and motivate the key managers within the region.

Manage the people development and succession planning within contract to ensure opportunities are created and key personnel are retained

Support business development in related bids

Regular monitoring of supplier performance against the applicable benchmarked criteria and KPIs

Working with suppliers to identify actions to address areas of poor performance, ensuring actions are logged on to SharePoint and monitoring their effective implementation

Reviewing of supplier Performance and Rectification Plans where applicable

Maintain the supplier performance dashboard - providing information and reporting of performance and ensuring KBR’s objectives and

responsibilities are met

Identify positive / negative trends in performance and continuous improvement opportunities to reduce cost, improve quality and performance and take proactive corrective action where necessary

Continuously monitor KBR performance through monitoring of data and liaison with other members of the KBR team including quality, HSE and operations

Proven track record in developing new initiatives to increase productivity, gain efficiencies and enhance profit margins

To deputise for the Operations Director during absences



Member of a Facilities Management related professional body (e.g. BIFM / RICS)

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in successfully managing service delivery within Facilities Management

Experience of working with customer and supplier SLAs, performance measurement and personal work targets and working on performance of own team


Experience of managing complex contract structures, balancing the demands of client, internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Experience of delivering Hard and Soft FM services

Experience and Skills:

Proven track record of managing FM contracts on a regional or national basis

Proven history of ensuring that contracts are fully compliant with required service standards and specifications, meeting and exceeding budgets, Key Performance Indicators and other targets

Demonstrative experience of managing FM contacts preferably on multi-site, multi client basis including experience of delivering hard and soft FM

Extensive experience in managing staff at all grades.

Experience of mobilisation of new contract awards

Experience of growing the business through organic growth and new business.

Experience of operating a CAFM system.

Previous experience within the public sector, preferably from the property or FM environment

Superior interpersonal communication skills are essential.

Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting and analysis is required.

Previous experience of working with an operational facilities supply chain function

Demonstrative experience of making positive changes to all aspects of KBR and Supply Chain operational delivery through provision of management information, reports, analysis and making recommendations.

Proven success in driving value for money and quality improvements through the supply chain with Hard and Soft FM expertise

Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation, delivered through a client facing role.

An effective time manager with the ability to multi-task.

Strong business operational and commercial contract focus.

Team player, able to work on own initiative.

Government security clearance, or be in a position to obtain security clearance

Approachable individual with a professional manner

Methodical in approach to tasks

Self-motivated, PC literate with PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills (SAP and SharePoint would be advantageous)
