Part-time Role 20 - 24 hours per week
Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organisation. Develops and provides project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports. Reviews project costs incurred by category, calculates future costs based on labour productivity, material price increases, subcontract, wage rates and risk analysis. Under direct supervision, performs routine assignments as an entry level professional in project controls. Develops core competencies with existing procedures by solving standard problems. Typically requires a suitable undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Working directly for a Lead Cost Specialist, the Specialist will carry out key tasks associated with the cost control of a portfolio of projects managed by the Lead Specialist.
These projects are loosely based around the GS EMEA UK based projects including MPS and LFB FM Integrator, CCS, JOFS and NNB.
Other responsibilities within the BU Project Controls team will be required on an ad-hoc basis providing exposure to other project control functions across a wide ranging portfolio of projects.
Key responsibilities / tasks will include:
Forecasts, controls and reports project costs needed within an organisation.
Develop and provide project variances, trending and analysis, and completion reports.
Supports EVA and other reporting metrics where required.
Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.
Specific monthly reporting duties including:
Run manhour & cost reports from SAP, checking rates and booking codes
Run commitment reports from SAP, reviewing commitments
Analysis of monthly costs
Input to monthly cost forecasts
Input into Project on a Page management report, or other PM reports required
Other duties commensurate with the role
