Degree in engineering or service delivery related subject

Experience and Skills:


Moderately experienced Project Engineer / Planner with a track record of holding undertaking delivery sequencing or planning role on a multidiscipline technology or services delivery type project.

Proven ability to assimilate planning information from a variety of sources, understand the impact/implications of mis-alignments and discrepancies and propose actions.

Proven ability to collaborate with team members to explain the impact on other suppliers and aspects of the project or adjacent impacted projects, to achieve optimal time, cost, performance goals.

Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels

Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team

Working level of competence with P6 / Microsoft Project software. Knowledge of risk analysis software would be desirable

Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills

Core Responsibilities & duties:

The Project Planner shall support the Project Managers for a number of projects / tasks:

Developing and maintaining project level plans which include dependencies, resources and workflow.

Tracking and reporting progress of implementation.

Working with the project team to resolve inconsistencies between the Plans.

Test and check logic and be able to identify errors or conflicts that will impact performance.

Understand and explain the critical path and sub-critical path, including the impact of change events on these.

Support the understanding of schedule risks and be able to demonstrate the impact of schedule change on these risks (and opportunities)

The role will also report functionally to the GS EMEA head of Project Controls to provide early warning and insight into the planning progress of the projects.

Support in the development of KBR use of MS Project and best practice to share across other projects
