Degree or equivalent in a business or science related subject



Certified Practitioner in one of the Recognised PM methodologies, PMI, APM or Prince2

Experience and Skills:


Proven record of implementation of cost management practices on projects and programmes

Proven record of managing change within a project and programme environment

Minimum of 5 years experience in related roles

In depth knowledge of cost management methods and tools including earned value management

Analytical background with skills in problem identification and resolution

Knowledge of cost risk analysis

Good interpersonal skills

Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels

Capable of working proactively, independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team

Good IT knowledge

Practical experience in the use of cost management software

Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills

Able to successfully manage time, plans, projects and other related tasks

Ability to work with remote and distributed teams from a variety of backgrounds and differing skillsets

Experience in Agile business environment is preferred

The Cost / Change Manager will be responsible for supporting the PMO Lead in:

The consistent implementation of cost management practices in compliance with the Client policies and strategies.

Management of the Transforming Forensics programme costs

Management of KBR project costs

Specific duties will include:

Forecasting, controlling and reporting programme and project costs

Reviewing project and programme costs incurred by category, organisation and scope

Developing project and programme variances, trends and analysis of expenditures

Supporting the cost risk analyses process, as required in accordance with the established guidelines

Organising and facilitating cost management meetings and workshops to ensure common understanding of cost management principles, processes and procedures

Developing, generating and maintaining cost reports in accordance with programme Governance

Driving consistency and ensuring the maintenance of supplier cost data and reports.

Identifying and explaining project or programme level cost variances

Participate in the development of project controls strategy and implementation across the programme

Management of programme change management including setting up processes, registers and reporting

Management of programme change registers

Completion of KBR internal cost reporting requirements

Management of KBR contract change register

Other duties commensurate with the role.
