The Role

Our Government Services division is seeking an experienced Certified Communications and Radio Frequency Engineer to work as part of a team for the implementation of a key Defence project. Your role will provide RF knowledge and expertise in support of the acquisition of key Defence capabilities. Supporting activities will include engineering, design management, platform integration, verification and validation and technical certification. In a team environment, you will be responsible for taking a lead role in platform and mission system discussions and providing technical support. To be successful in this role, you must have experience with Defence industry and/or working directly with the Australian Department of Defence in an acquisition or sustainment project environment. The role is based in Canberra at a Defence establishment.


Provide RF Subject Matter Expert advice

Support RF modelling

Conduct engineering document reviews

Support mandated system reviews

Support development design activities

Support acceptance test and evaluation activities

Support technical certification

Ensure a safe and healthy working environment.


Tertiary Qualifications in a communications and RF engineering field, with practical experience in RF Systems design and implementation.

Demonstrated experience to a Level 3 practitioner as per CAS-SS Deed v6.0

Demonstrated experience, as a minimum to a Level 5 (Engineer) as per the TRAMM-L, the Technical Regulatory Framework.

Australian Citizenship with current or previous AGSVA Security Clearance at NV1.
