TECHNICAL PROFESSIONAL LEADER - ELECTRICAL

Under broad direction, the Technical Professional Leader - Electrical supervises and leads a group of engineers and provides technical direction over a group and is responsible for coaching and developing lower level professionals. The incumbent plans, budgets, organizes, and controls an important segment of a very extensive and highly diversified engineering program or an entire engineering program of moderate scope. Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for study, design, specification and services related to electrical and electronic systems including power generation, transmission and distribution, power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communications systems, cathodic protection, grounding lightning protection, heat tracing etc.

Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.

May be responsible for leadership of a functional area on a small project or a segment of a larger project.

Qualifications:

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering field

·

15

years of professional working experience

·

Experience with electrical distribution (low to medium voltage), process measurement and control instrumentation, and DCS and PLC controls

·

Familiarization with OSHA, NFPA, IEEE requirements

·

Good oral and written presentation skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Suite program

·

Ability to manage work and undertake multiple tasks simultaneously

·

Electrical and Controls Instrumentation Engineering experience a plus
