Develops, implements and maintains cost control.

Specialist has sufficient training, technical expertise and familiarity with company policies and procedures to work independently on assigned projects

Some rotational experience may be through the Estimating, Cost Engineering, and Planning/Scheduling cost centers

Able to align labor cost with baseline schedule labor work hours and align the forecasted cost with the remaining to complete schedule labor work hours as the project progresses

Utilize the productivity factor for forecast scenarios of the Estimate At Completion (EAC)

Assignments require the use of a personal computer and a working knowledge of various software used in the Project Controls Department, such as Excel, Access, SAP, and Primavera.

Develops and maintains the cost control portion of the KBR SFS Cost Management System (CMS) to provide project management, as well as the department and Company management, with the necessary tools for project cost control

May participate in the development of the work breakdown structure, interfacing with Procurement, Engineering, and Finance Departments

Prepares and processes input to the cost control system for all cost reports

Prepares graphs, diagrams, and other exhibits to illustrate cost status and forecast requirements for Project Management and client

Performs analytical review and arithmetic checks of cost reporting documentation and provides feedback to KBR management.

Attend / Chair meetings with KBR Management and client personnel to articulate cost data and estimated at completion cost


Microsoft Access experience

Microsoft Excel experience with formulas

SAP experience with KOB1 (actual cost), KOB2 (committed cost), KSB1 (cost center actuals)

Forecasting ability based on plan – GPET program to assist with forecasting

Turnaround experience in Refinery preferred but not required
